Day 1Alice Springs
On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Take a town tour before Welcome Drinks.
Stay: Voyages Alice Springs Resort.
Day 2Rainbow Valley, Uluru (Ayers Rock), BBQ Dinner
Travel to Rainbow Valley. Continue past Atila (Mt Conner) and view the sunset followed by a BBQ dinner near Uluru’s base.
Two Night Stay: Ayers Rock Resort, Desert Gardens Hotel.

Day 3Uluru, Kantju Gorge, Dot Painting Workshop
Rise early this morning to view Uluru at sunrise. Later take a guided walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole and Kantju Gorge. Tour around the base of Uluru then visit the Cultural Centre to learn about Aboriginal culture. Later, join indigenous artists and learn about Aboriginal art.

Day 4, Day 5Walpa (Olga) Gorge, Kings Creek Station
Visit the famous domes of Kata Tjuta (Olgas) for amazing views. Take a walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Travel to Kings Creek Station this afternoon and reach APT’s own Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge.

Day 5 Watarrka National Park, Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge.
Enter Watarrka National Park then head to Kings Creek Station, a working cattle ranch. This afternoon, take a tour of the ranch and learn about life in an arid Outback environment. Tonight, relax and enjoy sunset drinks before dinner.

Day 6Gosse Bluff, Glen Helen, Ormiston Gorge
Travel along the rugged Mereenie Track to Tnorala (Gosse Bluff) Conservation Reserve. Stop at Glen Helen for a short walk and visit Ormiston Gorge.

Day 7Finke Gorge N.P., Palm Valley, Hermannsburg
Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Finke Gorge National Park. See Palm Valley and in Hermannsburg, visit the art gallery to learn of world-renowned Aboriginal artists.

Day 8Alice Springs - Darwin
After breakfast transfer to the airport for a flight to Darwin (own expense), where on arrival you’ll enjoy a city tour. Tonight is at leisure to relax or explore Darwin’s bustling nightlife.

Day 9Adelaide River, Leilyn (Edith falls), Katherine Gorge Dinner Cruise
Depart Darwin and travel south to Adelaide River. Visit the beautiful garden at the war cemetery as well as the Adelaide River Inn, home to Charlie the Buffalo of ‘Crocodile Dundee’ fame. Have a swim at Edith Falls, a delightful natural pool surrounded by pandanus and paperbark trees. Continue along the Stuart Highway to Katherine and enter Nitmiluk National Park for a guided dinner cruise on Katherine Gorge.
Stay: Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort.

Day 10Kakadu N.P., Gunlom Falls, Yellow Water Cruise
Tour deep into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park to Gunlom Falls for a refreshing swim. Visit Warradjan Cultural Centre then take a cruise on the picturesque Yellow Water Billabong.
Stay: Kakadu National Park, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda.

Day 11Ubirr, Sunset Cruise
Enjoy a morning walk along the billabong waterfront and visit Bowali Visitors Centre. Later, travel to the Ubirr art site and see ancient rock art galleries. With permission from the traditional owners, travel into Arnhem Land and tonight enjoy a billabong sunset cruise. Stay: Mt Borradaile Safari Camp (facilities are fairly basic in this remote area).

Day 12Aboriginal Art Sites, Mt Borradaile
Take an optional barramundi fishing excursion then later tour the region by 4WD and trek to the famous Mt Borradaile. Explore galleries with a range of Aboriginal art.

Day 13, Day 14Termite Mounds, Windows on the Wetlands, Darwin
See towering termite mounds, visit Fogg Dam and the Windows on the Wetlands Visitor Centre then travel to Darwin.

Day 14 Darwin, Litchfield National Park. This morning travel to Litchfield National Park. See fields of magnetic termite mounds and enjoy a refreshing swim at Wangi Falls. View Tolmer Falls and Florence Falls before returning to Darwin in the afternoon.

Day 15, Day 16Cairns, Kuranda, Aboriginal Dancers, Cairns Highlands
Day 15 Tue. Cairns. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns (own expense). On arrival, the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. This evening enjoy a Welcome Aussie BBQ Dinner at the Cairns Night Zoo. Two Night Stay: Cairns, Tradewinds Hotel, with guaranteed Ocean View Rooms. Bx1 Dx1 Day 16 Kuranda, Aboriginal Dancers, Cairns Highlands Travel aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway up to Rainforestation Nature Park where you will be welcomed by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. Explore Kuranda, then ride the scenic Kuranda Skyrail over the rain forest and back to Cairns.

Day 17Great Barrier Reef, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner
Discover the Great Barrier Reef with Freedom of Choice Touring. Cruise to the Outer Reef on the ‘Wavepiercer’, on the ‘Wavedancer’ around the Coral Sea islands or aboard the ‘Silversonic’ for a reef cruise and snorkel. Tonight enjoy a Dine Around Dinner in Port Douglas.

Day 18, Day 19Millaa Millaa Falls, Dunk Island

Leave Dunk Island behind and head through the heart of the tropics from Townsville, Australia’s largest tropical city to Airlie Beach where you will board a boat and cruise through the beautiful Whitsunday Passage to Hamilton Island.

Travel to the Sunshine Coast. See saltwater crocodiles at Australia Zoo, and later enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of Brisbane.
