FIJI

Bula!

Fiji is one of Anderson’s most popular destinations. It’s one of those places you go back to time and time again without tiring of all the wonderful experiences the Fijian Islands have to offer.

Fiji

Over 330 islands with sparkling lagoons in every shade of blue, untouched powder white sand and a warmth not only from the sun but from the genuine smiles and friendliness of the locals, all just waiting to enchant you.

When we think of Fiji we think of Denarau Island and its gorgeous golf course, teeing off onto palm and river fringed greens as the afternoon drifts into evening and the sky turns a wash of orange and blue.

Cocktails while sitting in the pool down on the Coral Coast, views of distant islands and soaring catamarans framed by swaying palms, second book nearly finished.

An island stay, napping on a hammock with the pure white sand beneath you, palm trees gently swaying outside your secluded bure.

We think of the locals. Happy, smiling and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, with a special love for kids and a natural happiness that is ever so inviting.

We have an extensive range of products available in Fiji, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, make sure you contact us and we can ensure you obtain the holiday that suits your needs at the best possible price.

Nadi and Area

Nadi is the gateway and major entry point for visitors to Fiji.

With many flights arriving and departing in the early hours of the morning, a night in Nadi is often required and the close proximity of the Airport hotels provides a great advantage.

With its bustling main street packed with colourful restaurants and souvenir shops, surrounding beach areas, world class resorts and golf course, Nadi and its surrounding area provides for an interesting and enjoyable introduction and stay in Fiji.

For those who like to keep their feet on the ground once they arrive, the big island of Viti Levu offers a wealth of tropical scenery and superb places to stay. Less than 20 minutes from the Airport is Denarau Island, home to the luxurious Sheraton Resorts and challenging championship par 72 golf course. With its unique bunker shapes and numerous water shots, this course will provide a challenge for even the most experienced player. Further north you will discover some of Fiji’s most stunning scenery and historical sites, including the opportunity to visit a traditional Fijian village. The combination of culture, seclusion and relaxation creates a perfect environment for a stress-free experience

Bula and welcome to Fiji!

To and From The Airport:

With many of the hotels in close proximity to the Airport, complimentary transfers are available.

The Coral Coast

Thinking about a Fijian holiday?

Read on to hear why the reservation team at Anderson Vacations loves the Coral Coast...

We have been to Fiji many times; but the Coral Coast is one of our favourites. The combination of being easily accessible from Nadi, the ability to easily immerse yourself in the fascinating mix of cultural experiences and getting out and about to explore the beauty of the surrounding highlands, natural rainforests and rivers makes this a memorable Fiji holiday experience.

Friendly waves and huge smiles will greet you everywhere you go. Stop and buy some local produce from the roadside stalls all at very good prices. Choose from a variety of delicious fresh fruit & vegetables such as watermelon, mango and breadfruit and of course there is an abundance of locally caught fish readily available.

If you enjoy markets as we do, be sure to spend some time in the main town of Sigatoka. This bustling and colourful town renowned for its marketplace and great shopping is the ideal place to buy those holiday souvenirs and traditional Fijian artefacts. Speaking of shopping, Pacific Green a well known Fijian furniture factory shop located near Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort is where you’ll find some exquisitely designed and crafted furniture.

After a day of exploring it’s great to relax and spend some time enjoying the facilities of your resort. A quick swim or kayak is in order before getting ready for the night's entertainment. Tonight its Meke night, a traditional cultural show with a lovo feast. – you can’t leave Fiji without experiencing at least one cultural show during your stay.

We can’t wait to go back and we’re sure you’ll enjoy your Coral Coast experience just as much as we do!

The Fiji Islands

Fiji Islands the perfect tropical escape!

Unique and unspoilt, the islands of Fiji offer a thousand miles of pristine white sand beaches, fabulous coral gardens, swaying palm trees and amazing azure lagoons. The ideal place for a truly relaxing holiday.

Set amongst deep blue waters with fringing coral reefs of turquoise and pastel green, the easily accessible and popular Mamanuca (pronounced Mamanutha) Islands or the untouched and idyllic Yasawa Islands offer you some of Fiji’s most beautiful beaches.

The Mamanuca Island’s close proximity to Nadi is of great benefit. From short hops by helicopter or seaplane to leisurely catamaran cruises across the calm waters, you’ll be at your island getaway in no time. The Yasawa Islands, home to both luxury and budget style resorts are more remote in their location, however are easily reached by catamaran, seaplane or short flight. Sunny, magical and friendly, each island is unique and with over a dozen resorts to choose from there will be something to suit your needs. Whether you’re planning a special romantic escape, some family fun or simply wanting to relax and unwind, there is an island resort just waiting for you!

Fiji North

Are you adventurous, a diving and fishing enthusiast or simply wanting to get away from the usual tourist haunts?

If so, Fiji’s northern islands are a tropical paradise just waiting for you.

Cascading waterfalls, coral reefs and unspoilt natural beauty is what attracts visitors to these relatively untouched islands, where life has changed very little for centuries. A choice of accommodation options to suit most budgets is available. From small hotels with basic facilities to resort style properties where you can pamper yourself, “North Fiji” offers travellers unique experiences combined with modern comforts.

The diving in this area is exceptional. With many reefs undiscovered as well as world famous dive sites such as the 32 kilometre ‘Rainbow Reef’, there is much to explore. Fishing is also fantastic and the conditions are suitable almost year round. Enjoy big game fishing outside the reef or, if you prefer, fish just off shore where you can catch fish of up to 30 kilograms.

Savusavu, on the Fiji’s second largest island of Vanua Levu is a great place to base yourself. The deep bays just offshore are great for kayaking and the dive and fishing spots are easily accessible. The rugged interior is also good for exploring by foot or on mountain bike.

If looking for peace and recreation off the beaten track, the nearby islands of Taveuni and Matangi also offer great alternatives. Ideal if you want to be active and enjoy a range of water activities or alternatively just relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Going to North Fiji is like going back in time, discover its charm!

Suva and Surrounds

Suva, Fiji's capital, is the hub for most commercial activity and remains the island chains largest urban centre.

Retaining much of the character of the colonial period, this fast developing city is adjacent to a naturally protected harbour and provides the ideal blend of old and new. Popular with the corporate market, Suva provides a rainbow of colours, cultures, tastes, festivities and people. If looking for cheap brand named clothing then Suva is the place to go, and the nightlife is also not to be missed.

Suva provides an alternative gateway to the Coral Coast and also to the island resorts on the eastern side of Fiji. Located outside the rainbelt, the island resort of Toberua is just 25 minutes by boat from Suva and offers 4 acres of white sand beach with unspoilt natural beauty – the perfect place if you’re looking to relax!
